There are a large number of time-delay systems in the practical engineering systems. On one hand, time delays often exist in nature and perturbations can not be avoided for the influence of external environment and internal engineering causes; on the other hand, it is well known that time delays are frequently a source of unsatisfactory control systems performance and instability. Therefore, to investigate the stability and control problems for time-delay systems is of importance in control theory and its application.This dissertation focuses on nonlinear control systems with time- delay, which covers the asymptotic stability of control systems with time delay under nonlinear perturbations. The main research work is as follows:1. By Lyapunov functional stability equivalence method, the asymptotic stability problem of constraint nonlinear time-invariant control systems with time-delay and linear time-invariant control systems without time-delay is discussed. An example is given to prove the effectiveness of this theory.2. By Lyapunov functional stability equivalence method, the asymptotic stability problem of constraint nonlinear neutral control systems with time-delay and linear time-invariant control systems without time-delay is discussed. An example is given to prove the effectiveness of this theory.3. By Lyapunov functional stability equivalence method, the asymptotic stability problem of constraint nonlinear neutral time-invariant control systems with time-delay control-delay and linear time-invariant control systems without time-delay is discussed.Finally, we point out some problems to be solved in future after summarizing the works done in the dissertation.
