Study the function of deep source CO2 degassed from deep faults is an important and meaningful work. It is an indispensable aspect for confirming the content of carbon on earth, making clear karst dynamics system, and the global geochemistry process of carbon cycle, and the reasons of content of CO2 increase in atmosphere, and the various cause of syndromic disaster in recently years. Nay, it is an important means that making clear deep characteristic of mantle.This paper discussed the rule of CO2 degassing from deep faults hotsprings in Yunnan by analysis of the geology background, environment condition, chemistry of water and carbon, helium isotope.According to the result of water chemistry analysis of 38 typical hot springs, analyzed formed-condition of hot springs and the hydrogeochemistry characteristics with the faults characters nearby hot springs, ground conformation and little conformation characters. By analysis of carbon isotope characteristic, explained proper carbon source of deep faults hotsprings in Yunnan. The results indicate that the faults are at a high pitch nearing west or north, the values of δ 13C are at a high pitch leaning to positive. The variety regulation of hotsprings values of δ 13C reflects rule that the activity of faults assumed trend of strong in northwest, feeble in southeast. This paper seted up the model of deep source CO2 degassing ,wich with the theoretics of the speed of chemistry reactionand based on grasping hydrology geochemistry characteristics of deep faults hotsprings and the rule of deep source CO2 degassing. According to evaluation degassing intensity of deep source CO2, integrated with compartmentalization of Cenozoic conformation cell and the distributing of deep faults in Yunnan, estimated the quantity of deep source CO2 degassed from near 700 hotsprings in Yunnan. Summarized the quantity of deep source CO2 degassed from deep faults is consistent with the distributing of conformation cell and deep faults, namely it assumed a trend of lowering gradually from west toward east.
