The age of the Kehe Paleolithic Sites discovered in 1957 has been a matter of dispute for decades. About the last forty years, the archaeologists and the geologists studied them about fossils, paleontology and stratigraphy, but they could not draw the compellent conclusions until now.I was inspired by the new magnetostratigraphy results of Xujiayao Paleolithic Sites and Xiaochangliang Paleolithic Sites, I made research at the Locality 6054 of Kehe Paleolithic Sites in South Shanxi with magnetostratigraphy methods for the last two years. The susceptibility of this locality has the trend of high values on the top, a low band between 2.5m and 13m with the character of loess L9 in North China and then it has high values at the bottom of this locality. This susceptibility trend has a good relationship with S7-S12 of Luochuan standard Section, so we could make the conclusion that the age of this section above the cultural layer is about 0.7Ma-1.02Ma. From this result, the age of cultural layer which is below the high susceptibility at the bottom of this locality is at least 1.02Ma. It is verydifferent from the current age about Kehe Paleolithic Sites that is about 0.247Ma. But this result has the same trend as the new understanding of Pu Su and Rixiang Zhu who studied the age about Xujiayao Paleolithic Site and Xiaochangliang Paleolithic Site, respectively.
