Study On The Geological Background And Genesis Of Landscape Of Jiuzhaigou

The landscape of Jiuzhaigou are mainly characterized by karst geology and landform in alpine and very cold region, and are composed of lake groups, waterfall groups and rivulets on shoaly land, with water as the soul and geological background as the basis. Its main body lies on Motianling nappe, strata mainly consist of carbonate formation with low degree of metamorphism, predominant constructions are faults and folds in Northwest direction.The influence of geological background on the landscape of Jiuzhaigou mainly exhibits in two aspects: control on the form of ditches and valleys and control on water circulating systems. The geomorphic rudiments formed by geological processes of neotectonic movement, karst, glacier etc were superimposed gravitational deposits and adarce bodies in late stage, and complex conversion between karstic water and surface water, the marvelous spectacle of the lakes and waterfalls in different layers of Jiuzhaigou were formed.For the relative independence and stability of geological systems of Jiuzhaigou, the landscapes in this area are relatively stable, but degenerations can be found in some places.
