Surface feature spectrum data is the basic materials of remote sensing technology, and the relation bridge to establish ground data and remote sensing. In the past, on the surface feature spectrum characteristic research, people laid more emphasis on spectrum test and studying of ground and laboratory, and studied on surface feature spectrum characteristic of the satellite deficiently. This results in combining theoretical research and application study together incoherently and can't guide application effectively and directly. And practice of remote sensing application proves that surface feature spectrum research includes not only surface feature spectrum measurement study of ground (nearly ground), also remote sensing data spectrum collection study simultaneously (an isochronously).On the basis of understanding to remote sensing mechanism and surface feature spectrum in the field theory thoroughly, this paper approaches the coupling degree of the image spectrum of remote sensing and the corresponding surface feature spectrum in the field of Open-air measurement, and the information of the desertified land is drawn utilizing the spectrum characteristic of surface feature on the basis of this foundation. We can get reflecting rate image after the pretreatment of remote sensing data, TM image, and comparatively analyzes the anisochronous spectrum data and it and receives their coefficient correlation value, 0.8689.so we can use reflecting rate image to analyze spectrum data replacing the corresponding surface feature spectrum in the field of Open-air measurement. By construing the difference of the several kinds of typical surface features in this area in terms of the mechanism of the spectrum and spectrum curve, this is theory base and practice foreshadowing further of drawing desertified land information make kind. Thematic message is draw fully by using spectrum characteristic difference of surface feature and image spectrum difference nature and setting up spectrum knowledge model, and its desertified information result is better, and reaches the precision of making maps. This breaks through grey level draw of remote sensing, image of, emphasizes surface spectrum feature authenticity even more in the past. This paper is divided into six parts altogether: In the first part, it is the part of introduction, and describes the meaning of the selected title and research current situation mainly, including research current situation of surface feature spectrum and remote sensing information drawn, and the meaning and research state of desertified land information drawn. In the second part, the article reviews the theory development of spectrum of remote sensing and information drawn and makes deep exposition to spectrum characteristic and surface feature spectrum theory of the remote sensing data. In the third part, the paper deals with and analyzes the remote sensing data and open-air measurement separately, and finds their coefficient correlation better that the spectrum data of the remote sensing image reflects one's own spectrum characteristic of surface feature well, and has done error analysis for the difference reason produced. In the fourth part, it comparatively analyses the information spectrum data of remote sensing and the measure spectrum for several kinds of typical surface features. In the fifth part,the paper draw the information of desertified land in the remote sensing image by using spectrum characteristic principle of the surface feature, and has analyzed and appraised the precision that is drawn. In the sixth part, it reviews and summarizes mainly this paper, and pointes out the shortage the question to be pondered further..
