The study of ocean color is an important part of the ocean research. The suspended matter is the major resource for the alongshore sediments and its distribution character and density have much relate to the flux balance of the sediments in the estuary. Thus the study of suspended sediments is necessary. Continental shelf of the Yellow sea and East China sea includes old estuary of Yellow River and estuary of the Yangtze River. It has enormous suspended matter which comes from many resources and it is one of the areas which density of suspended matter is the most. The past research of this area cost much time to investigation with navigate, and take focuses in the winter and summer so that there has little information about suspended matter distribution character in spring and autumn. This article will analyze the data which get form the investigation on April and September, 2003, in order to have the surface and bottom distribution of suspended sediments. Meanwhile combine with isochronous data of remote sensing reflectivity, using regression analysis to find a suitable function expression which can be use to inverse surface suspended concentration of study area and its character of seasonal change with image of NOAA/AVHRR. After analysis, we can conclude that: ⑴ Mainland matter is the main resource of the suspended sediments of the study area, and ocean flow and weather are the main factors which effect the concentration of suspended sand and its transport. ⑵ The concentration of suspended sand in spring is higher than that in autumn; Affected by ocean flow, suspended matter of Subei shallow transport from northwest to southeast, and suspended sediment form estuary can not be transported to east over 123oE. ⑶ When concentration of suspended sand is higher the remote sensing reflectivity of ocean accretion either, and the peak value move to the long wavelength too; The function expression used to inverse is lg(SSC)= -484.66Rrs12 + 70.3Rrs1 - 0.0596. ⑷ The inversion results shows that the distribution of suspended sand in study area changed seasonal, this is accordant to the information get from the investigation and conclusion get before, that is to say the inversion method this article used can meet the fact need.
