Geographic Information System (GIS), a kind of high and new technology, integrates Earth Science, Information Science and Computer Technology. As one of the crucial means it promotes the information society development.This paper focuses on three questions related with GIS. These three questions are: the technology of developing a special Urban GIS analysis and query of GIS space data browse and output of GIS space data.As for the first question, the paper first introduces the architecture of ArcObjects components library and the technology of developing a special Urban GIS then discusses how to develop the GIS functional module by ArcObjects components library and VB language.
