The fiber optic Moire interferometric 3-D profilometry has been developed in this paper. Numerical simulation and emulation results on measuring the objects 3-D transform profilometry by using the fiber optic Moire interference fringes are given. The object's 3-D profile are reconstructed by using of the Fourier transform. The principle of three optical fibers Moire 3-D profilometry is presented. The advantages and disadvantages between three optical fibers 3-D profilometry and double optical fibers 3-D profilometry are compared and are proved by experiments. The feasibility of the 3-D profilometry measuring the objects by using the Moire interference fringes has been proved theoretically and experimentally. The experimental results of measuring objects with different shapes exploring the double and three optical fibers Moire interference fringes are presented, respectively. A 3-D profile of objects is also reconstructed and the experiment results are analyzed and discussed.Through the in depth investigation of 3-D transform profilometry of fiber optic Moire technique, a simple and practical method of reconstructing the object's 3-D profile is established. So that the theoretical and practical measuring method for the reconstructing of 3-D object's shapes is established.
