Study On The Horizontally Spatial Expansion Of The Urban Man-made Landscape (UML)

Abstract:outward expansion has become the most remarkable characteristic since urbanization entered the stage of sub-urbanization. Because of the comprehensive function of such factors as law of the evolution of urban spatial structure, nature, economy, society, and etc, the UML go on horizontal expansion in many patterns, which are featured by different characteristics. The expansion follows the general expansion law, on which we can not only study qualitatively but also quantitatively by mathematics method and predict the trend of its development. The appearance of the UML is the outcome of the function of numerous driving mechanism, so the mechanism that incurs the urban expansion is also one of the content which we should probe into.
