The Development Of Actived Charcoal Measuring Radon Instrument Based On Single Chip Computer

The actived charcoal measuring radon instrument is a kind of new instrument in need of geological works and the radon emanation and migration theory study.This paper analyses the development of radioactivity detecting radon and its primary problems in the past, a new instrument -using activec charcoal measuring radon has been designed that detect the gamma-ray from radon posterity 214Pb and 214Bi. This instrument has some characters, such as has more sensitive and more efficient and static state cumulation. The main research works are as followed:The sytem measuring radon has choiced actived charcoal as adsorber, NaI(Tl) as gamma ray detector from a lot of radioactivity detector. The circuit cells of the instrument has been analysised and designed. The measuring radon instrument using actived charcoal based on single chip computer has developed. The operating interface using menu mode designed with Chinese characters is briefness and convenience.The software is developed in windows by using OOP language Visual Basic. It provide a comprehensive computer tools to collect, calculate and visualize and analyse radon data. The software has a rich graphical user interface. It is easy to use and user friendly. It is also designed to handle multitasking process.The instrument, beside resolving prospecting uranium, can resolve un-uranium geological task, especially, it can find some faintness abnormalism and reflect clearly fracture zone of geological structure. It can search for geological mapping and search for groundwater and lurkingfaults and subsiding column and location of underground fire region in coal mine. The instrument can provide a new reliable means to research the theory of radon migration.
