The Characteristic Analyses On The Coronal Hole And The Recurrent Geomagnetic Strom

"Geomagnetic strom" is the one of geophysical phenomena and it is important and related with the solar activities. It can influence the performance and reliability of space-borne and ground-based technological systems and can destroy the satellates'work, communication, navigation, transmit electricity and cause the huge economic loss, So it is an important catastrophic space weather event. As national space projects and high science and technology develop constantly, the dependence on space entironment and the endangerment that space catastrophic event bring to the technic systems will be increased. Realizing the forming mechanism and the speciality of geomagnetic strom, even predicting the time when it will take place, which have important significations to aviod or alleviate the effects of it.I work in the Space Entironment Prediction Center. It's the institution that assumes our natioanl manned spaceflight space weather security task. I will introduce the part work of my workmates and me about the geomagnetic activities aspect in the safety period of "Shenzhou NO.5" in this paper ?2. The year of 2003 is in the declining phase of cyler 23 and the frequency of the solar-eruption is low, so the recurrent geomagnetic strom is dominant in all the geomagnetic activities. Linking the needs of the work, we put the emphases upon the research on the coronal hole and the recurrent geomagnetic strom and their relations and apply these theories to the practical prediction.This paper consists of four chapters. The main research is on the coronal hole,the recurrent geomagnetic Strom, their relations and the prediction of the recurrent geomagnetic strom. It includes.The chapter 1 is about the basic knowledge about the coronal hole, the solar wind and the recurrent geomagnetic strom. The main contents of the chapter 2 is the research work on the relationship between the coronal hole and the recurrent geomagnetic strom. The chapter 3 is about the statistical property of the recurrent geomagnetic strom in the odd cycles. In the last chapter, I introduce the results that we used 3-D kinematics mode to simulate the corotating streams.
