The application of scaling law is very important in the ice force model tests.Scaling law can guide the process of model tests and ensure the accuracy of modeltests. Thinking about the complexity and importance of dynamic ice force modeltests, it is very hot to solve the dynamic ice force model tests scaling law. First this paper introduces resemble theory and methods in detail. Then bycollecting and coordinating the native and foreign researching information aboutdynamic ice force mechanism, this paper discusses several mechanism models ofdynamic mutual effect of ice and the structure. Considering the fact that theself-oscillation mechanism model is comparatively consummate, this paperresearches the self-oscillation mechanism model deeply and make it the theoreticalbase of researching the dynamic ice force model tests scaling law. Dynamic iceforce model tests' theories and equipments in native and foreign laboratories areintroduced in this paper. By using resemble method and dynamic equation inself-oscillation mechanism model this paper researches the dynamic ice force modeltests scaling law and founds the resemble system. At last, this paper designs themethod to validate the dynamic ice force model tests scaling law educed above byusing FEM calculation.
