In the paper, based on the analysis of data from radiation stations and the data of corresponding sunshine stations, the normal probability distribution feature of monthly solar radiation is figured. The variation of the correlation coefficient between the solar radiation and the sunshine are analyzed. Then this paper mainly discusses on the correlation coefficient's geographical distribution and a b coefficient's annual variation of the solar radiation climatic calculation. It is necessary that considering the annual variation of the a b coefficient when calculating the solar radiation. The possible error of solar radiation climatic calculation is analyzed and discussed .The error range of calculating solar radiation with sunshine data is obtained. The homogeneity test is carried out using 70 monthly total solar radiation series over China with potter method. The results indicate that there are over half series being inhomogeneity. The discontinuous points mostly distribute on the 1970s ,then the 1990s. So the impact of radiation apparatus changes on solar radiation series is not obvious in the early 1990s.Then the homogeneity reduction is carried out with regressive method. After reduction, the mean annual correlation coefficient between the solar radiation and the sunshine rise higher. But the spatial distribution of a , b coefficient changes little. So the inhomogeneity of total solar radiation series has little impact on the a , b coefficient spatial distribution rule as a whole. However, it is necessary to carry out the homogeneity test and reduction concerned with the time series change.Several stations' long time series of solar radiation are established. Then thelong time change feature of radiation climate over china is analyzed- The resultsshow that, the radiation climate changes a little before 1950s. From 1950s to 1970s itis increasing ,and it reached the apex in the 1970s. Later it began to decline, up to thepresent.
