Target at occurrence of landslides in Waitoushan mine waste-dump in Benxi steel group, the paper discusses the current stability of the slope. Based on the comprehensive analysis and investigation data available of the slope, the paper make an geology engineering qualitative analysis on the stability and the destruction of this land, then it attempts to calculate the glide lane earth mechanics parameters by using the originality section method. After this, it determines the minimum allowable safety coefficient of the slope by using mathematics methods. Besides the paper adopts the 1-D information distributive method introduce by HUANG Chong-fu etc (1995) process some uncertain slope information, it make a fuzzy comprehensivejudge,it make a stability calculate of various working conditions compose, it make a sensitive analysis methods etc. After all these, it make out the reason of the landslide, the stability under the disadvantageous working condition compose, the control factor of the landslide, At last, it use finite element numerical stimulation based on elastoplastic theory to further research the destruction mode and the tendency of the landslide.The paper draws a conclusion that this landslide is in a temporary stability, it would further destruction when occurrence a rainfall. The higher section would make little scale slide in it shallow part under the permanent dead weight.
