With the development of science and technology, more and more geological data was generated by all kinds of modern instruments. But the traditional 2D geological expressing approach has not met the needs of modern mine design, management and production. So it is necessary to study the 3D computer expression of mine geological entity. Firstly the author analyzes the 3D spatial data structure and brings forward "method of CAD-Boundary Representation" which is a 3D visualization method of geological entity. Based on this method, the author classes the geological data and creates database to prepare the entity data. Secondly the author transforms the data from row-format to column-format to carry out the data organization. In the end, the 3D visualization of geological entity can be realized by VBA programming on the platform of AutoCAD 2000. The geological entity and all kinds of section are built according to surface model. The horizontal slice is made in the light of "grid method". And the 3D functions of the geological visualization software are also mentioned.
