Sand-dust storm is a kind of calamitous weather phenomenon, which means that strong breeze draws much sand and dust on the surface into the sky, making air very foul and with visibility lower than 1km. It is a serious environment problem in our country. In this paper, on the basic theories foundation study ofsummary people of the past, aiming directly at whether the shelter forest can deposit the sand and how powerful it can .We select the oasis in Ulan Buh Desert as the study plot, and study the function of the shelter forest reduce the "sand" and "dust" .we draw the following conclusion. First, in the fixed and semifixed sand lands, which grow the natural sand-binding plants, the coverage of plant in the fixed and semifixed sand land is 26.4% and 10.3%, respectively, the amount of sand drift decrease 93.38% and 81.91% comparing with the migratory sand land which have no plant coverage in the same wind speed and the range of 0-40cm above the ground. Second, in this study area, the peak occur in April and May, according to the time distribution regularity of the amount of dustfall, the lowest point occur in July and August, they are steady in January, February, March, November and December. Third, the quantity of dustfall are different in different shelter forest condition, the distribution order from maximum to minimum is wild, Hedysarum scopsrium, Ammopiptanthus mongolicus, 4th farm, 2th farm, 3th farm. And the quantity of dustfall in the Hedysarum forest, Ammopiptanthus mongolicus forest, 4th farm shelterbelt, 2th farm shelterbelt, 3th farm shelterbelt decline 61.64%, 73.7%, 80.18%, 88.39%, 78.48% comparing with the wild.
