Landscape ecology is largely founded on the notion that environmental patterns strongly influence ecological processes. The habitats, in which organisms live, are spatially structured at a number of scales, and these patterns interact with organism perception and behavior to drive the higher-level processes of population dynamics and community structure. Therefore it provides one theory basis for this research.As one typical representative of mixed zone of agriculture and husbandry in arid and semi-arid region, Qira Prefecture not only has its special spatial pattern in physical geography, but also has typical characteristics of fragile ecosystem and differentiation rule in ecology. This paper applied the basic theory and method of landscape ecology to analyze the landscape pattern of fragile environment in this area.After analysis firsthand datum conducted on the present situation, such as vegetation, sample location (GPS), the depth of groundwater under different biological habitation.etc, the landscape in ecoton has fallen into 3 classes ,ecoton_near, ecoton_middle, and ecoton_far. This result has been validated by the remote dates classification. And then from the remote datum the landscape spatial variation information used by this paper has been gotten. So the characteristics and types of the landscape were analyzed by using the information of landscape ecology in different years, the metrics were chosen to analyze the resources conditions, and landscape enological functions were evaluated. At the same time the groundwater depth and the water system variation information has been obtain.After analysis, the results show that, the river corridors are the most important ecological flow in the oasis and their changes are the drive power resulted in the variation of oasis landscape patterns. The groundwater are the most important ecological resource in the ecotone and their changes are the drive power resulted in the variation of ecotone landscape patterns. Then the differentiation dynamics of landscape ecology in the regional ecosystem has been analysis. Driving forces of ecological landscape differentiation in this region are also identified quantitatively.In conclusion it is manful to study this problem in order to protect the resources of desert properly under the special condition of arid region.
