With the economic development at very fast speed in the world, men reclaim and utilize the environment more and more extensively. Hydroelectric power, transportation, mining, city construction and so on are related to the research and harness of the slope stability. Slope engineering is paid more attention to.In this thesis, a general review on the development and academic accomplishment of slope engineering based on a lot of documents is presented. All kinds of methods on slope stability and their advantage and disadvantage are summarized. Guishan landslide's geological condition, stability are analyzed by the methods of rigid limit equilibrium (Sarma and Residual thrust method) and three-dimensional finite element, and make an optimization comparison of several excavation programs. At last, the system of slope of Guishan stability analysis and forecast is compiled in computer language-Visual Basic 6.0. The system visualizes the work of slope stability analysis and forecast, simplifies the trivial calculation process, increases the work efficiency.
