The Research On Improving The Quality Of Expansive Soil Of Hexu Expressway And Its Relation With Geological Structure

The paper analyses the expansive soil distribution of the south part of HeXu expressway effected by geological structure and stratum. Based on the fuzzy mathematical method, the paper establishes mathematical model of many indexes and writes the computer programme. By testing lots of soil samples from Feidong, Dingyuan, Fengyang and Bengbu, the paper gains some indexes of expansive soil. Many beating experiments of different quantity of added lime and unlimited compress strength experiments of different periods have been made. According to the dates of beating experiment, the paper analyses the relationship between the optimal water contant, the maximal dry density and the quantity of added lime. On basis of the dates of unlimited compress strength experiments, the relationship between unlimited compress strength of lime-soil and the quantity of added lime. The paper also discusses the reason why the lime can dispel the expansive and shrink quality of expansive soil. Finally some important conclusions have been summarized and some actable suggestions have been given.
