In this paper the longitudinal electro-optic effect and the multidimensional anisotropic acousto-optic effect in trigonal system, square system, hexagonal system and cubic system are researched. An optimum two-dimensional crystal KDP and GaP are selected. Their modes of operation are determined. The electric field is applied in the Z direction, and the laser propagates in the Z direction also. Three transverse ultrasonic waves propagate and vibrate in the XOY plane with 90?each other. An optimum three-dimensional crystal GaP and its mode of operation are determined. The electric field is applied in the [111] direction, and the laser propagates in the [111] direction also. Three transverse ultrasonic waves propagate and vibrate in the plane vertical to the [111] direction with 60?each other. The research results will lay the foundations for the design and manufacture of the multi-dimensional acousto-electropic-optic device. The thickness of plating layers and the length, width, thickness of piezoelectric transducer are determined, according to transporting line theory of Mason's equivalent circuit. The research results will lay the foundations for the design and manufacture of multi-dimensional acousto-electro-optic device.
