In this paper, a case of mei-yu front rainfall during 25-28 Jun. 1999 in the area of yangtze river has been studied by means of videosonde observations and mesocale numerical simulations. From analyses on cloud microphysical process we conclude: ice phase played an important role on the formation and development of mei-yu front rainfall.
