| During ostriches (Struthio Camelus) reproduction, the blood samples were collected in 12 female ostriches at 4-hour intervals during 72 hours. The concentrations of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 in these ostriches plasmas were determined by RIA and IEMA. Changes of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 concentrations in plasmas were probed in different physiologic conditions. Usage of RIA and IEMA were compared and laying activities of these ostriches were monitored by these 4 hormones profiles in plasmas. The results of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 concentrations in plasmas were summarized as follows: To the continuous-laying ostriches , the highest FSH concentration was 5.33±0.67mIU/ml(RIA) or 4.87±0.46mIU/ml(IEMA). the highest FSH concentration was 5.33±0.67mIU/ml(RIA) or 4.87±0.46mIU/ml(IEMA). the highest LH concentration was 5.04±0.45mIU/ml(RIA) or 17.19±0.97mIU/ml(IEMA), and it appeared 12~2h before laying. the highest 17β-E2 concentration was 0.932±0.049ng/ml(RIA) or 0.3448±0.069ng/ml(IEMA), and it appeared 10~2h before laying. the highest P4 concentration(8.82±0.49ng/ml(RIA) or 7.105±0.549ng/ml(IEMA) appeared 18~10h before laying, and its concentration changed slowly. To not-continuous laying ostriches , before they lain the latest egg, the highest concentrations of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 in plasmas (RIA) were not determined respectively. But before they lain the second latest egg, the top concentrations of these 4 hormones (RIA) were similar with the continuous-laying ostriches' 4 hormones concentrations respectively (p>0.05).To no-laying ostriches, the highest concentrations of FSH,LH and 17β-E2 in plasmas (RIA) were not appearant respectively. But their basical values were the same as not-continuous laying ostriches' and continuous laying ostriches' except of P4 (p>0.05) Difference of the highest concentrations of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 were significant between by RIA and by IEMA (p<0.05). The correlative coefficient of the concentrations of FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 (RIA) of ostriches in plasmas in RIA and IEMA were 0.932, 0.9151, 0.91832, 0.8305 respectively. These two results reflected change of FSH,LH ,17β-E2,P4 between ostriches lay two eggs when both methods used. RIA and IEMA have practicable value for assaying FSH,LH ,17β-E2 and P4 concentrations of the ostriches in plasmas. |
