A three-dimension baroclinic prognostic model on the a-coordinate is established based on POM to simulate the summertime circulation of East China Seas, considering the topography, inflow and outflow on the open boundary, Yangtse runoff, heat flux and wind stress on the sea surface. Otherwise, some numerical experiments were done by changing one of the following factors the topography, Taiwan Strait flow-in, Yangtse Runoff, sea surface wind stress respectively, to find out the effects of these factors on the summertime circulation of East China Seas and the Upwelling of Yangtse River Mouth. We also established a barotropic model to simulate the summertime circulation of the East China Seas. The results show that, the Kuroshio flows along the continental slope of the East China Seas, its trajectory varies along with the slope topography, and some eddies appear on the both sides of it. There is an upwelling area in northeast of the Taiwan Island because of Kuroshio III c~ thrust over the slope of the East China Seas. In the summer, the upper water of the Taiwan Warm Current is mainly from the Taiwan Strait, and the bottom water is mostly from the sub-surface water of the Kuroshio which flows on the shelf passing through east of the Taiwan Island. The Taiwan Warm Current flows northwards along the seacoast of Fujian province and Zhejiang province. The main part of it turns eastwards while it arrives at 29030t N挆3 1 0N, the rest part of it continues to flow northwards. The high-salinity upper water of Taiwan Warm Current can arrive at the Yangtse River Mouth, the high-salinity bottom water of it can flow across the the Yangtse River Mouth and then arrive at the seacoast of north Jiangsu province. The water of the Tsushima Warm Current is multi-source in the summer the Taiwan Warm current, one of the branches of the Kuroshio, the mix water of the Yangtse diluted water, the West Korea coast current and the Taiwan Warm Current Water. The Yangtse diluted water quickly turns northwards after it flows out the Yangtse River Mouth, affected by the Zhej iang Coast Current, the north branch of the Taiwan Warm Current and the souther in the summer, and then flows southeastwards when it arrives around 340N. There are two meso-scale eddies in the northeast of the Yangtse River Mouth. In the summer, the Huanghai Cold Water Mass Circulation is Iv c~ divided into the north and south parts. Their sub-surface current is strong and the bottom current is weak. There is a meso-scale anticyclone in Qingdao桽hidao coast area. The Huangbai Warm Current becomes weaker and mostly moves into the Jizhou Strait due to the obstruction of the Huanghai Cold Water Mass. A zonal upwelling occurs near 1210 50?E~?230 20?E 31 0 N?20 30?N, in the north of the Yangtse River Mouth. It as well as the Zhejiang Coastal Upwelling, is caused by the interaction of the Taiwan Warm Current and bottom topography. In addition, the souther in summer also contributes to this upwelling. In the south of the Yangtse River Mouth, there is a downwelling, near 3O~ N挆 310 10?...
