Application of GPS is one of the most important parts in Precision Agriculture system. This paper introduced how to use GPS in agriculture, analyzed principle of differential GPS system application, gave an optimal scheme to establish an applied differential GPS system for agricultural use based local conditions. An experimental DGPS system with a pair of Trimble's AgGPS 132 GPS receivers and PCC's RFM96W radio modems was recommended. The developed method was brought forward to inspect the system with experiments. Results of the experiments showed that the DGPS system based AgGPS3 132 is a suitable selection for agriculture application. The DGPS system had sub-meter's positioning accuracy, and can be worked with good performance in precision agriculture.
