In China, a considerable number of the existing structure has been seriously degraded performance due to design or construction errors as a result of negligence or the structure of a potential hazard. This requires us to these structural safety, practicality and durability are given an objective, quantitative evaluation. Of course, the basis of the evaluation is to get the data through statistical sampling method, and thus gives the statistical inference. Therefore, the reliability of the existing structure of research and statistical analysis has important theoretical and practical value.Coefficient of variation v =σ/μis a measure of the stability of random variables, a common parameter measured value is a measure of an important indicator of reproducibility, which describes the degree of deviation of measurement results. In the insurance theory, the structural reliability theory and statistics and other aspects of hospital was applied wide range. The reciprocal of the coefficient of variation, or reflect the important indicator of the reliability of existing structures, and therefore the reliability of existing structures has important applications.Firstly, according to the definition of sampling distribution,χ2distribution and normal distribution by construction and the establishment of a sampling distribution with the coefficient of variation - the distribution of h given the distribution and density, distribution function, expression, distribution and by h quantile-depth study, given the nature of the sampling distribution of the density, the nature and number of sub-graphic nature of the median for follow-up provides a theoretical basis for numerical calculation. Secondly, the upper quantile and sampling distribution were programmed by software of Matlab and calculated quantile in any accuracy , and needed to print out the parameters of some commonly used quantile table, which was provided the basis for the interval estimation for the project the reliability assessment of existing structures to provide a convenience.Finally, according to the established sampling distribution with coefficient of variation, which was given the small sample interval estimation of coefficient of variation method, and was calculated by the actual case, the reliability of estimates of the existing structure, a specific instance in the range of estimates, the results consistent with the original identification, indicating the reliability of this method is estimated that the existing structure as a viable method.
