This paper primarily studied the distribution characteristics of salt and gypsum rocks in Dongpu depression, the micro-properties and the evolutional model of the reservoirs in salt and gypsum rock layers, and then the relationship between reservoir properties and the distribution of salt and gypsum rocks has been summed up after reading a wide range of documents about the salt and gypsum rock layers and the research on clastic reservoirs. There are four salt and gypsum rock layers in Dongpu depression and the transverse distribution range of the layers differ. The distribution regularity of the salt and gypsum rocks have been indicated that it migrated breadthwise. The thickness of the salt and gypsum rock layers differs greatly(from one hundred meters to hundreds of meters). The diagenesis characteristics of the reservoirs in salt and gypsum rock layers of Es3-4 formation is very complex because of the influence of the salt and gypsum rock layers. Various pore types are developed in the reservoirs, and the effective pore types are mainly corrosion pores and mixed pores. The fine-grained reservoirs are good in pore throat distribution, but most of the throats are narrow. The influence of the salt and gypsum rock layers is the main controlling factor in forming abnormal pressure. There are two kinds of function mechanism(physical and biochemical)in the controlling action of overpressure on the deep effective reservoirs. Under the influence of the overpressure, the deep reservoirs may keep high porosity and permeability. The control degree of salt and gypsum rock layers'influence on deep reservoirs differs because of the diversity of deposit sediments. The reservoirs with high primary porosity and permeability protected by overpressure are easily developed to be good effective reservoirs. Now the controlling action of overpressure on the deep effective reservoirs is the main factor of reservoir reconstruction.
