Obtaining the geological data through exploration, and then processing it in order to make the complex geological data to be expressed in the form of graphical images, finally establishing an underground geological model, which will not only help the geologists observe the geological structure and properties directly, but also assist the leadership to make reasonable decisions. Three-dimensional geological modeling is a complicated project, from the geological data acquisition and processing to complete the construction of three-dimensional geological model, it is not only relating the geological knowledge, but also involving the use of computer to process the geological data, explain the geological structure and phenomena reasonably. Firstly, this thesis studies and researches the relevant theoretical knowledge of the three-dimensional geological modeling techniques, and then designs and simulates some common geological shape and construction by using computer technology, and focuses on the stratum classification algorithm, stratum surface reconstruction algorithm, fast cutting algorithm, texture mapping algorithm, fault simulation algorithms, parallel processing algorithm for geological data and other key algorithms of three-dimensional geological modeling. Finally, this thesis develops a prototype system of the three-dimensional geological modeling, simulating the common geological structure and phenomena through the method of visualization, making some statistics and evaluation of the performance of the three-dimensional geological modeling key algorithms. The main work of this thesis is as follows:1. Study the research and application status of the three-dimensional geological modeling technology at home and abroad, and analysis the remaining problems.2. Design and program the stratum classification algorithm, stratum surface reconstruction algorithm of the three-dimensional geological modeling, using the Shepard and Kriging methods to reconstruct the stratum surface separately, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods, verify the accuracy of three-dimensional geological model through cross-examination idea.3. Design and program the fast cutting algorithm of three-dimensional geological model based on half-edge structure, giving the definition of half-edge structure in the geological grid, describing the fast cutting method in detail, analyzing the time complexity of the algorithm. And the experiment results show that the cutting algorithm can achieve real-time performance in handling large geological data. According to the empty hole in the geological model after the cutting algorithm, this thesis uses the texture mapping method to repair it, which not only enhances the realism of the internal geology, but also solves the textures problem of non-topological scattered points.4. Design and program the algorithm of three-dimensional geological modeling with the fault, simulating the three-dimensional geological model with the fault. According to the three-dimensional geological modeling with the large-scale geological data, this thesis proposes to construct the stratum surface using parallel algorithm, designs and implements the parallel algorithm of the stratum surface reconstruction, analyzes the efficiency of the parallel algorithm.
