As a natural disaster in the world debris flow has attracted wide attention. Debris flow triggered by montanic rainstorm happened in some areas that has loose geological structure may become frequent geological disasters. Forecasting the debris flow disaster more effective and reducing the mountain storm debris flow disaster losses, have become an important research in recent years. Forming the debris needs complex dynamic conditions, involving meteorology, hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport mechanics, geology and other subjects. The research on the mountain storm debris flow forecasting mathematical model is a composite application of the interdisciplinary research; it has an important significance both in theory and reality. In this text the classification of debris flow, formatting conditions and the current research were introduced systematically. Two-dimensional shallow water circulation equation and ground-flow equation is derived. Finite volume method was used to simulate the flow. Model grid was generated automatically. Data was collected from GIS, module terrain was interpolated, the river channel unit was generalized. The calculation and the treatment of river-type flow, ground type flow, abrupt slope-type flow were given. Rainfalls at different return periods were calculated, establishment of a mountain storm debris flow prediction model.Geology feature, meteorology feature and topography feature of Guilin were analyzed to figure the geological conditions, topography conditions, hydrodynamic condition digitally in unit. The possibility standard of formatting debris flow was given. The debris critical zone in Guilin was calculated in the rainstorm of different return period. Contrast the debris zone with distribution diagram of plagioclase landslide and debris flow disasters in Guilin. The results matched well. We can get the conclusion that this model can be used to determine the debris formatting prosperity in Guilin.
