Land subsidence is an environmental geological phenomena of regional ground elevation reduced caused by the soil of surface crust compression under natural and man-made factors and it is a permanent loss of environment and resources which is non-compensation. Land subsidence is a kind of geological disasters with the characteristics of generate slowly, long duration, wide affected area, complex genetic mechanism and difficult to control, Which pose a threat to resource utilization, environmental protection, economic development, urban construction and people's lives. In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy, the human activities is enhance and scale increases, makes the ground subsidence disaster are hapened frequently. At present the studies in ground subsidence mostly focused on extraction of groundwater, however urban construction effect of ground subsidence has risen to degree and the point of that nots allow to ignore. Xi'an is a higher frequency areas of geological disaster, ground subsidence disaster is hapened serious. Since Xi'an Gaoxinqu is born, industrial plant construction, the population is growing, causing a lot of high-rise buildings built, increasing the ground subsidence happens. This paper firstly introduces the geological background conditions of Xi'an, summarizes the development process of Xi'an ground subsidence mechanism and the causes. Then, analysis the soil properties of Gaoxinqu, combining the engineering construction condition, summarizes the characteristics of land subsidence. Finally using FLAC3D numerical simulation research on upper building load cause the ground subsidence, then research on the basis of the typical area of Gaoxinqu, analysis the engineering construction land subsidence caused by the influence of such conclusion rules and features, and puts forward the preventing measures.
