Because the traditional CFD method needs a lot of background grid system, it takes more computational time. Mesh less method does not need background grids, and the divided background grid node is the only information, which makes CFD to be simple. The more important is that the mesh less method is kind for parallel computation. Mesh less method adopts the point approximate principle, and only need node information than unit information form node connection. The grid algorithms mesh less algorithm can eliminate grid construction completely or partly. In this paper, to better understand the flow field in different Reynolds number, least-square match point mesh less method is used to simulate the backward-facing step flow in different Reynolds number.Firstly, the laminar flow and turbulence model of the backward-facing step flow is established. Secondly, the least-square match point mesh less method is introduced and the method is applied to discrete the control equation of fluid model. Thirdly, the MPI parallel environment, interface MPI parallel library and MPI parallel model is introduced. Based on MPI parallel environment model, the Master-slave mode is adopted applied to simulate the backward-facing step flow and the parallel efficiency and CPU speed ratio is analyzed. Lastly, the traditional numerical simulation method is used to calculate the backward-facing step laminar flow and the turbulence flow, and numerical simulating data is compared with the numerical results by using least-square match point mesh less method. The two simulating results are compared with the experimental data, and it is shown that the mesh less methods can simulate the backward-facing step flow successfully and the advantages of mesh less methods are emerged.
