Natural light from the sun is Non-polarized before it enters to the atmosphere of earth. When the Natural light incident to the atmosphere of the earth it will be polarized because of the light-scattering caused by air molecules and aerosol particles. Polarized light exists in the entire sky and it contains a wealth of information. In short time this type of information contained in polarized light is stable, it was called sky-light polarization pattern. Sky-light polarization pattern can be used as an aid to Atmospheric probe and navigation and has important theoretical significance to polarized light research atmospheric optics research. In this paper, the Formation mechanism of sky-light polarization pattern under ideal atmospheric condition is presented. Furthermore We Analysis the Factors of sky-light polarization pattern under real atmospheric condition. The main work of this paper includes:(1) Electric vector are proposed to describe light waves. On this basis, a analytical method of Rayleigh scattering and Mie scattering of a single particle based on electric vector is presented. In this method intensity of polarization and polarization direction vector can be obtained.(2) Single scattering theory is applied to the modeling of sky-light By Utilizing the transformation between the celestial coordinate system and the north-east-up coordinate system. Intensity of polarization and polarization direction vector of sky-light of polarization pattern can be obtained.(3) Real skylight polarization pattern is affected by time factors and space factors. The relationship between time and the position of the sun is established to get the Principle of time factors. The model of surface reflection of skylight is also established by using The Fresnel formula. Monte color method was used to establishing the model of light multi-scattering in Clouds.(4) By the tools of math model and the Graphics Tools, we simulate the single particle scatterings and the ideal sky-light polarization pattern and the real sky-light polarization pattern. Finally we analyzed the accuracy of simulation result.
