Studied on histolory of the skin of nine anurans: Rana amurensis,Rana chensinensis,Rana kunyuensis,Rana culaiensis,Rana dybowskii,Bufo raddei Strauch,Bufo gargarizans,Kaloula boreal is and Rana limnocharis, in the area around Bohai Sea. The main results were as follows.Firstly, between the areolar tissue and stratum compactumeach there is a discontinuous lamina calcarea trip. It exists in each part especially dorsum, and is much sharper in the Kin of the-head. Besides the lamina calcarea in the shape of trip, there also have calcified structure in the shape of cotton ball, in the skin of head and occasionally in four legs of Bufo gargarizans. Furthermore, epidermis of the head is much thicker, sometimes is thickist in the five ranas and two bufos.Secondly, a being very long, slender and pillar-shaped cell situated in the epidermis with its root-shaped base penetrating into the dermis in the skin of all the nine anurans. Linsenmair (1999) reported that this cell contains largely tonofilaments and indicating its putative function is supporting.Thirdly, in the skin of the trunk of male of Rana amurensis,Rana chensinensis and Rana kunyuensis observed another kind of mucous named specialized mucous glands, the specialized mucous glands are absent in Rana culaiensis in April. But the distribution of the specialized mucous is difference, in Rana amurensis the specialized mucous exist in dorsum, lateral and ventral skin of the trunk of the males, and in the ventral skin which are stained much deeper; in Rana chensinensis and Rana kunyuensis, specialized mucous were observed only in dorsal skin of the males.Fourthly, studied on the structure of the skin of Rana chensinensis females in the period of having eggs(March) and preceding hibernation (September)shows that the dermal glands of the periods are much disference in shape and numbers. In the period of having eggs, granular gland are big and filled with granules, mucous are large and with high columnar mucocytes lining the lumen, both the mucocytes and and the lumen are filled with flocculent material of basophilia, following the discharge of the secretory of basophilia from the mucocytes, the high columnar mucocytes becomes shorter. This kind of mucous are big and rich in secretory distribute densely in the ventral skin. Both the number of the granular gland and mucous gland are smaller in the skin of Rana chensinensis females in the period of preceding hibernation, most mucous gland have clear lumen, and also have vestigial phenomenon.Fifthly, mucous in the skin of Bufo raddei Strauch, Kaloula borealis and Rana limnocharis are much difference compared with other eight anurans. The shape and distribution of the granular glands in the skin of Kaloula borealis is also completely difference with other eight anurans. There are several vacuolated gland instead of typically granular glands in the skin of Rana limnocharis.
