With the development of seismic exploration, discovery and exploitation of oil have brought us many new challenges. The new or present problems in Seismic data processing which is the key of seismic exploration have created new mathematical methods and techniques. Inτ-p domain, the reflection of different shapes, linear interference and random noise have different performance characteristics, a variety of slope has a specific distribution area, which makesτ-p transform in seismic data processing widely used.Based on the traditionalτ-p transform (slant stack) study and research, this paper derives two transform formulas of seismic data in time domain and frequency domain respectively, and implements the initial transform process by the programming. Then, thisτ-p domain transform algorithm is presented through synthetic data and simulated data.This paper also explains the reason of end-point effect and space aliasing. Through the selection of samplingτ-p and scanning range, the transform picture quality is improved by using HFV.
