During the mid to late holocene, the human society experienced the alternation of the ancient culture and dynasty. The climate change was one of the important driving force to this dynamic process. In Yellow river and Huai river drainage areas, the relationship between climate changes and culture alternation was more significent,.According to the theory of Ecological Slope, the Yellow river and Huai river drainage areas can be divided into four regions: the shoulder of the slope, the gradient of the slope, the foot of the slope and the basic plane of the slope. In this study, based on the lots of archeological archives and the previous results of the cliamte change patterns in this area, we discussed the impacts of climate changes on the alternation of the ancient culture and dynasty during the Mid to Late holocene. We analyzed the intrinsic relationship between the climate change and cutrure alternation in three aspects: firstly, the mechanism of the four region's ancient culture development's response to the climate change; secondly, the response's mechanism of the number's change of the ancient sites to the climate change in the four ecological regions ; thirdly, the mechanism of the distribution of sites in different physiogomy which is response to the climate change. We concluded that:1)the abrupt climate change is an important driving force to the alternationof ancient cultue and dynasty.2)the ancient human migrated along the ecological slope the up and down according to the different climate situations. 3) it always shows positive corelations between the cliamte change and the quantity of archeological site in the shoulder and gradient of the slope areas. But in the basic plane of the slope area, it shows positive relations during 4-3 kaBP and negtive correlation in the other time. 4) the quantity of archeological site which is closed to the water was increased in the cold and dry climate, but decreased in the warm and humid stage.
