As the importance of superheavy nuclei, more and more nuclear physicists made great effort to study and detect superheavy nuclei. In recent years, with the development of experimental facilities, many laboratories abroad have the ability to investigate superheavy nuclei. At home, the power of research of modem physics institute in superheavy nuclei is gradually increasing. The nuclear physicists need theories to study the formation of superheavy nuclei. Therefore, the theoretical research is become significantly important. However, because of the complexity of heavy ion fusion process, there is not a perfect theory yet. We need to improve the accuracy of forecast. For this situation, we try to study some problems about heavy ion fusion process. We use two-step model to study the process of heavy ion fusion. In this paper, we discussed the following aspects of the content.First of all, we introduce the fundamental theory of nuclear reaction. It makes us have an accuracy understanding of some parameters in nuclear reaction. And we have a general knowledge of unclear reaction. In this thesis, we also introduce the general research situation and advances about superheavy nuclei. We have a general knowledge of the research background of superheavy nuclei at home and abroad in order to make our study more worthy. The second, we study the fusion process of superheavy nuclei by two-step model. We introduce what is two-step model. And we make some calculation by two-step model. We introduce the theoretical arithmetic of fusion cross sections, especially the theory of residue cross sections. Some figures are given for residue cross sections of some nuclear reaction. I hope that this result can offer some reliable reference for nuclear physicists. At last, we also study the fusion hindrance of heavy ion reaction. And introduce the reaction mechanism in the process of heavy ion fusion as well as the fusion hindrance in the neck evolution(FHNE). Finally, the area without FHNE is given. I hope we can provide a reliable reference for nuclear physicists.
