Alteration is one of the characters in porphyry-type deposit. In recent years, more and more geologists have been interested in the relationships between alteration and mineralization ,during the study of porphyry-type deposits. It helps that mineral explorations could be accomplished immediately.In the paper, the research of mineral chemistry of granodiorite porphyry's biotites and chlorites is carried out, according to the study of Antuoling molybdenum deposit, based on four drillings, by the idea of alteration. Then the formation temperature of chlorite is calculated, using chlorite composition thermometer formulas.The main results include:1 Antuoling deposit has undergone three stages. They are high temperature, middle temperature and low temperature hydrothermal alteration. Potassic alteration, silicaiton and propylite are the main alterations.2 According to the study of mineral chemistry of granodiorite porphyry's biotites and chlorites, the resource of metallogenetic materials of molybdenum deposit in Antuoling is from lower crust and upper mantle.3 By the use of chlorite composition thermometer formulas, the formation temperature of chlorite is between 250℃to 270℃. It indicates that the formation temperature of molybdenite is also between 250℃to 270℃.
