Drilling industry booming in recent years, more and more ultra-deep well, with the increasing depth, temperature and pressure also increases, which emerged a series of high temperature high pressure (HTHP) technical problems. For example: The drilling tools of bottom of well work instability, shortened life expectancy, decline in strength and sealing performance deterioration etc. These HTHP problems occur not only seriously affected the penetration rate, but also for performance and reliability of drilling materials, is also a great test.This paper on the base of investigating technical problems of HTHP wells and analyzing and summarizing status, shortcomings, trend of high temperature high pressure simulation test device, design a high temperature high pressure simulation test device program. The device can simulate the temperature is 200℃, pressure of 90MPa of well environments, and testing drills inside of the device has important significance to study of mechanical properties and dynamic characteristics of deep hole drilling strings.Analyze the main all component systems and their function, and choose the best option to achieve the system functions. Autoclave is core of the device, choose 12Cr2Mo1R as its material according to its exposure to temperature and pressure. The autoclave has a certain thickness to prevent the explosion. Design flanges to seal both ends of autoclave, with large diameter bolt. Flange center has interfaces to other equipment into parts, and use the metal O-ring seal combination to seal. Test pump with high pressure oil pump, acting on the set of a high temperature high pressure pouches of the rock sample surface resulting in confined pressure. Winding resistance alloy coils on the surface of the autoclave, connecting with the temperature control cabinet, real-time monitoring of temperature. Use asbestos bubble as insulation to keep the temperature of oil in the autoclave. The lower of autoclave clamping the rock samples, motor driven it to rotate, design upper grabber to clamping and guiding. The establishment of the high temperature high-pressure simulation test device will provide middle test and simulation test for study of drilling applied technology, study of basic drilling research and development of down hole drilling tools, play an active role in solving engineering technology problems and achieving a major breakthrough drilling technology.
