Along with the development of the petroleum industry and exploration techniques, buried-hill reservoir as a new exploration in oil field has aroused widespread concern. It has the very good exploration prospects. The seismic data quality relevant the buried-hill is poorer, difficult to identify, hard to exploration and has certain challenging. Hailaer basin is the hot spot in modern petroleum exploration. However, there are relatively few studies in Hailaer basin buried-hill reservoir. In such project, we are walking in front of domestic petroleum exploration.Buried-hill reservoir is a special kind of "basement rock" reservoirs—a protuberant petroleum system which locates in older strata below unconformity. A blocked buried-hill that a local low potential energy area in basin basement, is an important point of oil and gas migration at the same time a favorable place to get oil and gas and to gather into buried-hill reservoir.Buried-hill is an important style of effective hydrocarbon trap. With the increasingly difficulty of oil and gas exploration, the exploration of the inner buried-hill nearly attracts more and more attention. In the process of drilling in Sudeerte structural zone in Beier depression in Hailaer basin, a different degree of oil and gas shows had been found in the different layers in buried-hill. It fully confirmed the exploration potential on this area.Although several buried hill hydrocarbon reservoirs have been found, there are seldom majors on such new type reservoir. Since we have not yet explained theoretically the particular geologic condition which can generate such reservoir and generalized systematically a series of scientific approaches to evaluate and prospect it. Hence, the amount of buried hill hydrocarbon reservoir people found is not too much after we came across the first reservoir during drilling. The buried hill in the Suderte Area refers to the palaeogeomorphic hill, which is formed by the sedimentary volcanic rocks of Budate Group after tectonic movement, buried by the Mesozoic strata. According to its origins, the buried hills can be divided into the uplift buried hill and fault block buried hill. And the reservoirs mainly are horst block massive hydrocarbon reservoir, block-nosing stratified hydrocarbon reservoir and orographic-nosing stratified hydrocarbon reservoir. The target area is controlled by the faults on the both sides and the block fault is horst structure with strong syngenetic crack activities and large fault throw which always due to the source rocks of the dropped side and old strata in the upside laterally butt joint. The top of long-term developed fault block, affected by the seepage of light water and the tectonic stress, has strong denudation and pores existing, which forms massive dissolved pores, dissolved caverns and cracks in fault and inconformity as the main channel. It promotes the formation of reservoir. My topic mainly bases on the 3D seismic data, fully integrates geological, drilling, mud logging, logging and aeromagnetic data and then, through the seismic reflection characteristics concludes the structural feature, the formation characteristics, the reservoir characteristic and the characteristics of reservoir space types. Thus we try to reveal the genetic types of the oil and gas reservoir, the control factors and distribution, to search for the favorable traps and to predict favorable reservoir exploration target.
