Studies On Plant Community Characteristics Of Rock Vegetation Of Danxia Landform In Zhejiang Province

Danxia landform widely distributed in Zhejiang province, which mainly spreaded in two places: One place was in the hill and basin section in the middle of Zhejiang, the other was in the basin and lowmountain of the east Zhejiang. The geomorphological characteristics of Danxia landform were very conspicuous and rock vegetation resources were rich in there. Based on the data of 151 typical plots, the rock vegetation community characteristics of Danxia landform were studied in this paper. Sample areas covered 9 different places, such as Tangjiangyan in Zhuji, Chuanyanshijiufeng in Xinchang, Chichengshan in Tiantai and so on. The results showed that:1. Rock plant resources were rich in Danxia landform of Zhejiang province, where 195 species of Rock plants belonging to 143 genus and 82 families were founded. Among them there were 21 families, 24 genus, 29 species in bryophytes; 12 families, 15 genus, 27 species in pteridophytes; and 49 families, 104 genus, 139 species in spermatophytes. The distributions of family, genus and species were scatter with the family of one genue and the genus of one species.The geographical components of flora were complicated. Temperate components were slightly higher than Tropical components:51.11% of the non world components in genus. The main geographical elements of Temperate components were North Temperate (22.22%) and E.Asia (11.11%), and the main geographical elements of Tropical component was Pantropic (25.56%), followed by North Temperate (22.22%) and E.Asia. The transitional character was obvious, and no Chinese endemic species.According to the life form of plants, Chamaephytes(40.36%)occupied the dominant position, followed by hemicryptophytes (27.11%) and phanerophytes (20.48%). Therophytes also hold a certain percentage.2.The rock vegetation types of Danxia landform were rather abundant and could be divided into shrub,shrub-grass and meadow, for example, Form. Spiraea blumei, Form. Conandron ramondioides, Form. Celtis bungeana-Conandron ramondioides, Form. Lespedeza bicolor-Neyraudia Montana, Form. Neyraudia Montana, Form. Orostachys erubescens+Sedum polytrichoides.The vertical structure of community included shrub layer, herb layer, liana layer and bryophyte layer. The important species in shrub layer were Vitex negundo, Celtis bungeana and so on. In herb layer were Neyraudia Montana, Sedum polytrichoide and so on. Most liana were creeping on rocks ,such as Trachelospermum jasminoides, Ficus pumila and so on. Bryophyte layer also had some important species, just like Campylopus flexuosus, Plagiomnium maximoviczii and so on.3. Vitex negundo, Trachelospermum jasminoides and Neyraudia montana had the biggest niche breadth in their own layer, they were 1.7103, 1.8070 and 1.8810 respectivly. Ligustrum sinense-Ulmus parvifolia,Millettia dielsiana-Euonymus fortunei and Lepisorus thunbergianus-Drynaria fortunei had the biggest niche overlap in their own layer, they were 0.9471, 0.7950 and 0.9381 respectivly.4. Totally, Margalef index, Simpson index and Shannon-wiener index of rock vegetation in Danxia landform had the same trend in different layers:herb layer>shrub layer>bryophyte layer>liana layer, but evenness index had no regular pattern. In different areas, Simpson index and Shannon-wiener index had the same trend in different layers, but Margalef and evenness index had no regular pattern.5. Based on the diversity of Danxia landform conditions and characteristics of communities, 30 species of rock plants and 25 kinds of rock vegetations were constructed which could be used for application and extension.
