A Method Of Potential Prediction Of Coal On Mapgis

Coal is our main energy and the cornerstone of energy security . From the potential prediction we can feel out the present situation and prospect of our coal resources,and provide the decision basis for resource planning , exploration and development for coal , and the energy guarantee for healthy developiing of our national economy .MapGIS has been widely applied to many fields in geological discipline as a maturely GIS. Its powerful graphic editing and comprehensive snalysis of spatial data functions make it possible to applied to potential prediction of coal .The main contents which this paper studied is : the method of potential prediction of coal on MapGIS . The main flow are as follows : influxing basic data of predicting area ;establishing standards for potential prediction ; establishing standards for potential prediction ; establishing graphic database of predicting area ; establishing attribute database of predicting area ; carrying on spatial analysis to predicting area and obtaine the favorable block ; calculating prognosis of resources ; classifieing and grading of the prognosis of resources according to the standards for potential prediction , and then the prediction results of coal of one predicting area was finally obtained .Finally , this paper demonstrates the practicality of this method in potential prediction of coal taking Taiqian predicting area in Dongpu coal bearing areas in Henan province as example .
