Research On The Influence Of Producer Services And Manufacturing On Economic Development In The Yangtze River Economic Belt

The problem of industrial structure and industrial development has always been a hot issue in economic research.Reasonable industrial structure and good industrial interaction can have a profound impact on industrial and economic development.With the deepening of social division of labor and integration process,the industrial chain of product production continues to detour and lengthen,which to a large extent stimulates the improvement of production efficiency,thus promots the rapid development of industry.Although there are great differences between producer service industry and manufacturing industry in terms of development level,production mode and economic effect,due to the forward and backward correlation between them,the two kinds of industries are inseparable and play an important role in the process of economic development,which is also an important content to be considered when we adjust and optimize the industrial structure.This paper takes the producer service industry and manufacturing industry of the Yangtze River economic belt as the research object.Through the research on the evolution of its industrial space,industrial interaction and the impact on economic development,the following contents are drawn:(1)The theoretical analysis of the impact of producer services and manufacturing on the economy.Labor division theory,transaction cost theory,social network theory and portfolio theory provide a solid theoretical basis for the study of the interaction between producer services and manufacturing.With the deepening of social division of labor,the transaction cost is falling,and the structural hole of the industrial network can be crossed,which makes the interaction between the two industries increasingly frequent,and reasonable industrial combination is also conducive to reducing the economical risk.Using external economic theory and growth pole theory for reference,this paper studies the impact of producer services and manufacturing industry on economic development.Under the influence of five external factors such as technology,capital,labor force,resources and communication,the two industries have an impact on economic growth and economic stability.In the theory of growth pole,Perroux put forward the concept of driving unit.Under the influence of polarization and diffusion of such driving unit,industrial and regional development has realized the transformation from unbalanced state to balanced state.(2)The construction and analysis of the industrial space of producer service industry and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt.According to the principle that the data with the same connotation under different classification standards belong to the same industry after merging industries,the important indicators of industrial space such as comparative advantage and proximity are calculated.Using the method of Hidago(2007)to determine the proximity threshold which can obtain the more significant industrial relationship in the industrial space which can be visualized by Matlab and Pajek.On this basis,the comparative advantage index of producer services and manufacturing industry and the evolution characteristics of industrial space are analyzed.(3)The interactive relationship between producer services and manufacturing in the Yangtze River economic belt.Based on the vertical related industry model proposed by Veables(1996),this paper constructs an econometric model to analyze the interaction between producer services and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt.On this basis,the spatial weight matrix is added,and the SUR regression analysis is carried out every 20 km to study the interactive relationship between producer services and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt.(4)The effects of Producer services and manufacturing industries on the economic development.Considering the co-existence of correlation and heterogeneity between producer services and manufacturing industries,this paper decomposes the diversity index into producer services diversification,manufacturing diversification,producer services and manufacturing intra industry diversification,and producer services and manufacturing inter industry diversification.Knowledge spillover and portfolio are chosen as threshold variables.The panel threshold model of industrial diversification and economic development is established to analyze the threshold effects of producer services and manufacturing industries on economic development in the Yangtze River economic belt.On this basis,according to the elasticity of the effect of the two kinds of industrial diversification index on economic development,this paper comprehensively analyzes the role of threshold variables in the process of regional economic development,and obtains the main development impetus of provinces and cities.From the perspective of industry development,promoting industries play an important role in the process of regional economic development.This paper constructs the complex network model of industry collaborative agglomeration,and proposes a bipartite graph projection method with directed weight to realize the transformation from 2-mode model to 1-mode model,which is visualized by Ucinet.On this basis,the characteristics of industry collaborative agglomeration complex network in Yangtze River economic belt are analyzed.By improving the search traversal technology,industries whose centrality and influence index are greater than the average value of all the optional industries are selected to enter the alternative industries.According to the principle that the industries with high labor absorption level enter the complex network spanning tree first,the complex network spanning tree of industry collaborative agglomeration based on width first search and depth first search is obtained.Considering the maximization of the total employment,this paper analyzes the role of the promoting industries screened by the two search methods in optimizing the structure of industry complex network of the Yangtze River economic belt,and uses the block model and core-edge analysis method to study its impact on industrial relations and provincial economy.The main conclusions of this paper can be summarized as follows: on the whole,the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt has more comparative advantages than producer services.From the perspective of the evolution of industrial space,the spatial form of the Yangtze River economic belt is obviously developing from "single core" to "multi-core",but the driving effect of producer services on manufacturing industry is slightly insufficient.There is significant interaction between the two industries in the Yangtze River economic belt,and they can have a positive impact on each other in the range of 220 km.The intra-industry diversification of producer services and manufacturing industries can significantly promote economic development,while inter-industry diversification significantly hinders economic development.Knowledge spillover effect and portfolio effect have a prominent impact on economic development,and different performances in different provinces are shown,among which Shanghai and Zhejiang are the most dynamic.After screening,18 promoting industries were selected.Among them,Shanghai,Jiangsu and Zhejiang are closely related to 14 of them.These industries can promote the development of economy rapidly.However,the eight provinces and cities in the middle and upper reaches are closely linked with the four promoting industries,which mainly play the role of "engine" and "bridge" in the process of economic development,and the pulling effect on the regional economic development is relatively limited.
