College students are the backbone to realize people’s yearning for a better life,representing the future and hope of the country and nation.Colleges and universities shoulder the fundamental task of cultivating people for the party,the state and the people.This article is based on the perspective of Marxist theory,based on the implementation of the fundamental task of setting up morality and cultivating people in colleges and universities,starting from the natural relationship between education and individuals and human beings,as well as between ideological and political education and a better life.The thesis puts forward that ideological and political education is related to people and college students’ better life in the future.Starting from caring for the realization of a better life for college students in the future and focusing on their free and comprehensive development,taking into account the actual needs of contemporary college students’ growth,it constructs the theory and practice of the education of "The concept of a better life" for college students in the new era.From the perspectives of educational practice guidance,establishment of operational mechanisms,establishment of basic principles,improvement of educational content,innovation of educational methods,and optimization of educational paths,it can help improve the effectiveness of the "the concept of a better life" educational practice for college students in the new era and provide direction guidance,thought and action guidance for college students to pursue and realize a better
