| China’s traditional agricultural technique has a long history and rich contents.As early as 2000 years ago,"careful and intensive cultivation" as the characteristics of agricultural technology was formed.Traditional farming techniques are not only an important part of agricultural production through different times,but also reflect the process of social change as a historical image.Since the founding of new China,the state,in order to change the long-term backwardness of agricultural production,has promoted the technological change,changing not only the traditional factors of production in modern agricultural production process,but also penetrating into the social life of the peasants,with the farmers’ changed "old brains",and" old thinking".As a result,the single-family or individual-peasant mode of operation has been changed,together with the innovation of the deeply-rooted family culture.The rural social transformation based on technological progress,both in depth and in breadth,is positive and fruitful.This paper follows the "field and society" theory and methods of regional social history,borrowing from the related disciplines of sociology,anthropology,economics,etc.to make a case study of Huata Village,Taiyuan,Shanxi,China,to explore the concept of"technology" and the village social change issues,trying to reproduce the rural society during the collectivization from the perspective of micro-history.The author attempts to study village historic information to reveal that Huata village,based on traditional rice production,through the implementation of "scientific farming" and the development of"agricultural mechanization" in the post-liberation period,has changed the traditional agricultural mode of " Depending on nature for livelihood".With the development of agricultural technology,in Huata village,social class,power structure,production time,and social space,all reflect the impact of technological development in agriculture.The thesis also aims,through our shift from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture,to make an in-depth study,to grasp the law of agricultural modernization and rural social change.Therefore,the study on collectivization of Huata Village,though only a case study,shows the practical and theoretical significance.The purpose of this study is to answer the relevant questions,and hope to take the perspective of the "technological change" occurred and the operating mechanism to explore the internal logic of rural society development so that people can see the microscopic images under the surface.The rural development process reflected in agricultural production,rural and social development,and other content of the life of the peasants during the collectivization has been presented. |
