With the continuous progress of China-Africa relations in the new era and the vigorous development of Chinese education for overseas students,more and more African friends choose to study in China.While the number of African students studying in China has surged,the accompanying problems such as cultural shock and acclimatization have also brought unprecedented challenges to the education managers of colleges and universities.At present,a problem that needs to be solved urgently in the education management of African students in China is how to draw on the management methods and experience of international students from other countries,and based on China’s national conditions,put forward countermeasures for the education management of African students in China with Chinese characteristics,so as to further improve China’s management system for African students,to provide Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to solve the education problems of global students.It is in line with the common interests,overall interests and long-term interests of the people of China and Africa and the people of all countries.This article starts from the development process of the education management of African international students in China,and reviews the history of the education of African students in China and the evolution of related educational policies and regulations.First of all,it gives an overall overview of the development process of the education management of African international students in China,and divides the history from 1955 to the present into the start-up stage,the exploration stage,the adjustment stage and the improvement stage.Secondly,it summarizes the evolution process of policies and regulations for African students studying in China: from closed to gradual opening,it has gone through three stages: initial formation,exploration and adjustment,and development and improvement.The content of the policy is continuously refined and improved,and the orientation of the policy is constantly clear and open.Based on the review of relevant literature,this paper uses the concept of humanism and the case study thinking to analyze the current situation of the education management of African students in China at the current stage by taking the African students from Zhejiang Normal University as the research object.The methods of case study,questionnaire survey and interview are mainly adopted in this paper.Specifically,the questionnaire is designed and investigated from three dimensions:enrollment management,teaching management,and daily management.At the same time,it uses the concept of cross-cultural adaptation to analyze the adaptive characteristics of African students in China,and to clarify the learning characteristics,cultural characteristics and psychological characteristics of African students.The research data is analyzed empirically with the help of SPSS,from which we can draw a realistic basis for the current situation of the education management of African students in China,and put forward targeted suggestions.The interview method mainly conducts supplementary research from different perspectives by interviewing different groups such as African students studying in China and management personnel of African International students.Through the investigation,it is found that zhejiang Normal University currently has some problems in the management of African international students,mainly as follows: First,in the aspect of enrollment management,there are problems such as uneven quality of students,narrow enrollment channels and untimely tracking and feedback.Secondly,in terms of teaching management,there are some problems such as lack of effective communication between teachers and students,unreasonable curriculum setting and low adaptability of evaluation system.Third,in terms of life management,there are problems such as lack of supporting auxiliary projects,inadequate hardware facilities,and the need to strengthen the construction of community organizations.According to the investigation conclusions,this paper deeply analyzes the reasons for the above problems,and finds out that the crux of the problems in the educational management of African international students in colleges and universities lies in "Positioning Ambiguity" and "Functional Absence".Based on this,the fourth chapter of this paper,with an open mind,consults a large number of literature and learns the beneficial experience of foreign students’ educational management in colleges and universities,so as to provide reference for the building of education management mechanism of this paper.In order to solve the temporary problems in the education management of African students studying in China found in the above survey,this paper proposes an educational management mechanism for African students studying in China based on the concept of humanism.The mechanism follows the guiding ideology of respecting people,relying on people,developing people and serving people,constructing countermeasures for the education management of African students studying in China with Chinese characteristics,and further improving the management system of African students.First of all,the mechanism follows the biological principle of the management object,and proposes to adhere to the people-oriented service-oriented education management concept.Secondly,it proposes to adhere to the unity of the consciousness of management activities and the education management system under the guidance of humanism.Third,it proposes to adhere to the unification of the historical nature of the management method and the implementation of the convergent management mode of African students.Fourth,it proposes to adhere to the unification of the practicality of the management process and the solution of the mental health problems of African students.Fifth,it proposes to adhere to the sociality of management relationship and the unity of heterogeneous cultural exchanges from the perspective of a community with a shared future for mankind.This paper aims to use the concept of humanism to improve and optimize the management methods and educational concepts of Chinese universities for African students studying in China,innovate and optimize the international education management system,promote the development of the international student education management,let more young Africans serve as envoys of China-Africa friendly relations,so as to provide a feasible path and thinking direction for realizing the "world dream" of a community with a shared future for mankind.This paper tries to reflect the author’s understanding of the management of African international students from the aspects of historical review and current situation analysis,in-depth research and case presentation,problem analysis and international experience,and practical exploration.At the same time,the formation of this paper also gives the author an opportunity to accept corrections from experts.
