The research on the change of women’s marriage view in Yan Cun,Western China is based on the theories of ethnology, sociology, female anthropology and other disciplines, combined with some knowledge and experience obtained from their own field investigation. The change of marriage concept caused by the interaction of traditional thought and social transformation is the content that the author is most interested in and decides to choose to study.Through the research and Discussion on the marriage concept of women in Yan Cun village, the author deeply realizes that with the development of historical times and the progress of human civilization, their marriage concept is deeply branded with the traces of the times. The change of concept is not only the necessity of history, but also the need of reality. With the renewal and change of ideas, many traditional women are eager to get out of their "siege",break the inherent constraints and seek more freedom and liberation, but they experience ups and downs in this process. What is an ideal marriage for them? This makes me think deeply. Therefore, combined with the field investigation of Yan Cun village and the understanding of the natural, historical and cultural environment of Yan Cun village, and through the interview and investigation of Yan Cun women in different years, the author tries to understand their cognition of traditional marriage.Under the background of social transformation, the new era has given them the courage to pursue gender equality and ideal marriage.Their marriage concepts have changed from the perspectives of mate selection, marriage conclusion, fertility, chastity, patriarchy and husband power.Under the interaction of traditional and modern ideas,we can notice the transformation of women’s value from their family structure, living mode, the economic value expression of bride price and dowry,as well as the handling behavior of divorce and remarriage. The essence of this change is the cognitive change of their internal marriage values. For example, they have their own views and attitudes towards the new and old marriage phenomena. For some new phenomena, such as "flash marriage","naked marriage" and "trial marriage",some women show a contradictory and silent attitude. Therefore, through the above analysis and Research on the changes of women’s marriage view, the author can obviously feel that women’s consciousness is awakening, and women’s values and their value expression of marriage view have changed fundamentally. But at the same time, let me extend my thinking. For rural women in Yan Cun,for example, what is their ideal marriage trend in the future?Change is a historical necessity, but we can see from the cases that getting out of the "Besieged City"may not be happy, and many marriage costs also arise. And must it be unfortunate to stick to the "siege"?From some cases, the author can keenly perceive that for them, some traditional marriage rules will gradually "fail",the choice of marriage behavior will be more "rich",optimize and debug the existing structure and find their own happiness model. As Maupassant said,"life can’t be as good as you think, but it won’t be as bad as you think."."Besieged City" seems to be our own limitation. When we have the consciousness of "Besieged City",it already represents that we are either within or outside the "Besieged City".Ideal marriage, there is no siege, beyond the "siege",live a good present,is our real pursuit. This may not only be the rural women represented by Yan Cun women, but also the "homework" of each of us in our life. |
