| Diet consumption is not only the basis of human survival,but also one of the important factors to enrich human material life,which is related to health and well-being.Therefore,this article begins at the study of historical materialism and dialectical materialism theory,using the comprehensive induction,comparison analysis and interdisciplinary analysis,And on the Basis of New History Research,it deeply analyzes the changes that have taken place in the diet consumption of early modern England,causing a deep reason of the changes,and its historical influence.This paper,by using the database and the printed books resources,which is based on the first-hand historical materials healthy eating guides booklet,strives to reappear the scene of life in the early modern English diet consumption,and further confirms the early modern English diet consumption changes of positive effect,which was put the changes of English diet consumption into the social background at that time.It points out the various problems that have been exposed along with the development of its social and economic conditions and their countermeasures.This paper is divided into six chapters:In the chapter one(Introduction),a brief comment is made on the domestic and foreign researches related to the early modern English diet consumption research achievements,the defined and combed relevant basic concepts and theories,and also states the reasons and significances of this paper.Chapter two discusses the importance of staple food,non-staple food,drinks and condiments in the early modern English diet consumption,reappearing the scene of the early modern English diet consumption,and clarifies the differences in the types,quality and quantity of diet consumed by people of different social classes in the England society.Chapter three,from the perspective of comparative history,reveals the fundamental changes of diet consumption in early modern England compared with the late Middle Ages.In the term of consumption nature,it is embodied in the gradual transformation from the "fashion" diet consumption in the embryonic stage to the "developmental" diet consumption in pursuit of richer and better quality food.And it has increasingly presented the characteristics of dietary therapy,marketization and hierarchization.Chapter four analyzes the deep-leveled reasons for the fundamental changes in English diet consumption,which contains the rapid development of English social productivity,the changes of population,incomes and food prices,the progress of medical theory and the growth of home and abroad food trade.Chapter five examines the far-reaching impact of the fundamental changes in English diet consumption on the development of England society and economy,the orientation of national policy,the inheritance and development of diet culture.First,it gives birth to the initial formation of "consumer society".Second,it promotes the implementation of mercantilist policies;Third,it also promotes the development of England diet culture.Chapter six chapter is the conclusion,which sums up the historical conclusion that the nature of English diet consumption changed from “fashion diet consumption” in the late Middle Ages to “developmental diet consumption” in the early modern times,analyzing the relationship between the study of diet consumption in early modern England and the study of‘New History’,and it also gives a detailed exposition of the definition,development process and schools of ‘New History’. |
