| Chinese traditional culture is brilliant and splendid with a long history,and it contains the richest ideological nourishment of the Chinese people and the deepest spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation.Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China（CPC）,the Chinese people have blazed new trails and made comprehensive innovations in a century of practice,and have achieved world-renowned achievements.Among them,the Chinese and contemporary Marxism,created through the combination of the basic principles of Marxism with China’s specific reality and combination of the basic principles of Marxism with China’s excellent traditional culture,guides the CPC and the Chinese people to strengthen our ideals and beliefs,grasp the historical initiative,and create a better life.In the course of a century of struggle,the Chinese Communists have gradually formed systematic insights and policies on many issues such as the connotation,history,nature,status,role,and contemporary value of Chinese traditional culture,forming the traditional cultural view of the Chinese Communist Party.Such traditional cultural view of the CPC or the cultural theory of Chinese Marxism is an important content of Chinese and epochal Marxism.Since entering the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the CPC has stood at the height of the era to comprehensively promote the overall strategy of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the world’s unprecedented change in a century,accurately grasped the ideological pattern of the confrontation and interaction of the three major ideological resources of Chinese traditional culture,Western culture and Marxism,and scientifically summarized the experience,lessons and basic laws of Chinese cultural development since modern times.Reviewing and evaluating the important contributions of the excellent traditional Chinese culture to Chinese path to modernization,the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and the promotion of human peace and development,the CPC has realized the critical inheritance of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC,and has made the traditional cultural outlook of the Communist Party of China develop to a new ideological realm of dialectical synthesis as well as integrity and innovation.Marxism has laid the ideological foundation and research methods of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC.On the basis of defining the basic concepts of“culture”,“traditional Chinese culture”,“excellent traditional Chinese culture”and“traditional cultural outlook of the CPC”,this paper first discusses the guiding significance of the basic standpoint,viewpoints and methods of Marxism on the study of traditional cultural outlook of the CPC in the new era.Among them,the Marxist theories such as the theory of cultural subject under the vision of“realistic people and their historical development”,the theory of cultural status and function under the perspective of social organism,and the theory of ideology that integrates criticism and construction,have particularly important and direct theoretical significance.They run through all aspects of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC in the new era.The practical dialectics of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC in the new era is not only the absorption and transformation of the research achievements of the Marxist classic writers,Mao Zedong and other Chinese Communists,domestic and foreign academia,but also is based on the practical experience of the great rejuvenation of the contemporary Chinese nation and the changing times of the world’s great changes.It has established a methodological foundation for the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional culture in terms of transformation and continuity,nationality and globality,integrity and divisibility.The traditional cultural outlook of the CPC over the past century has undergone the four historical stages:the basic formation of the new democratic revolution period,the tortuous exploration of the socialist revolution and construction period,the important achievements from reform and opening up to the dialectical synthesis,integrity and innovation in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,presenting the historical dialectics of“negation of negation”.The traditional cultural outlook of the CPC before the 18th National Congress is the“pre-history”of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC in the new era.To explore the traditional cultural view of the CPC in the new era,it is first necessary to trace and summarize the development process and experience and lessons of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC before the 18th National Congress,and thus discover and refine the problem awareness and ideological resources from it.Among them,updating the evaluation of the excellent traditional Chinese culture through the combination of Marxism and the excellent traditional Chinese culture,promoting the modernization of Marxism in China,constructing the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and deepening the application of the excellent traditional Chinese culture in the governance of the country in the new era,etc.,are the important tasks to rethink Chinese traditional culture in a contemporary way and realize the innovative transformation and development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.The following four chapters are successively launched around these four topics of the times.In the new era,the CPC’s thinking on what is China’s excellent traditional culture constitutes the primary issue of the party’s traditional cultural outlook.Its essence is answer the basic questions of the times such as“what is the excellent traditional Chinese culture”and“what is the evaluation standard and the basic connotation of the excellent traditional Chinese culture”.The specific practice of the Chinese people in a certain historical period is the standard to judge the traditional Chinese culture,and the practice standard contains two dimensions of truth and value.The excellent traditional Chinese culture must first be the understanding of truth.It should not only conform to the objective reality of the specific era in which it came into being,but also conform to the specific reality of the development of China and the world in the new era.It should respect,conform to and reflect the development law of nature,the development law of human society,and the development law of human itself.At the same time,the evaluation criteria of the excellent traditional Chinese culture should not only have the truth of practice,but also have the value of practice.The fundamental,long-term and overall interests of the Chinese people and the people of the world are embodied in two aspects:the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the community with a shared future for mankind.According to these two evaluation criteria,the excellent traditional Chinese culture in the new era includes the basic connotation of the universe view of the unity of nature and man,the world view of harmony among all nations,the social view of harmony in diversity,and the moral view of human kindness.In addition,the Chinese nation has accumulated profound wisdom in many fields,such as the view of country,history,nationality,culture and religion,which has provided rich nourishment for the Chinese nation’s continuous growth and development for thousands of years.It has a continuous and far-reaching positive effect on consolidating the Chinese nation community,promoting the overall progress of Chinese society,and advancing the cause of peaceful development of mankind.The CPC’s understanding of the status and relationship of the three ideological and cultural issues among Chinese,Western culture and Marxism of China is an important part of the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC in the new era.the traditional cultural outlook of the CPC advocates:On the basis of adhering to the guiding position of Marxism,upholding the dominant position of Chinese culture,and respecting the“stone from other mountains”position of western culture,we should comprehensively innovate the national,scientific and popular new socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.Adhering to the guiding position of Marxism is the fundamental guarantee for correctly understanding and judging Chinese traditional culture,realizing the innovative transformation and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture,and analyzing and judging various cultural trends.Only by inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and realizing the combination of the excellent traditional Chinese culture and Marxism can we truly uphold the dominant position of Chinese culture and maintain its own continuity and cultural identity.In terms of the relationship between the main traditional culture and western culture,it is necessary to insist on the principle of making foreign things serve China,draw on western culture dialectically,and promote the exchange and mutual learning between the excellent traditional Chinese culture and western culture.In terms of the expression of the status and relationship among the Chinese,the Western Culture and Marxism in the“socialist culture with Chinese characteristics”,Fang Keli’s theory of“Marxist spirit,Chinese institution,and western exploitation”is one of the latest achievements,but the“institution”and“exploitation”in it are not the general meanings in traditional Chinese culture,and need to further explore more appropriate ways to express the guiding position of Marxism,the dominant position of Chinese culture,the reference status of Western culture“stones from other mountains”and the relationship among them.The judgment of the CPC on the position of Chinese excellent traditional culture in the construction of ideology in the new era constitutes an important aspect of the party’s traditional cultural outlook.A certain social life determines the basic nature and specific connotation of a certain ideology.The Ideological work in the new era should also reflect the new changes and new requirements of the survival and living conditions of the contemporary
