The Distinctiveness In The Academic Discourse Of “Hongloumeng Studies” And Its Historical Formations

With the gradual advancement of Chinese path to modernization,the academic community has also begun to appeal to the discipline system,academic system and discourse system of Chinese philosophy and the social sciences(namely “The Three Systems”)to highlight Chinese characteristics,Chinese style and Chinese manner.Meanwhile,the “Neo-Redology” has been established for more than a hundred years,and its scholars of various dynasties have actively explored different discourse branches in“Hongloumeng studies”,and many representative achievements have emerged in different historical periods.At the same time,from the perspective of “The Three Systems”,it can be seen that a series of academic discourse formed in the historical development of“Hongloumeng studies” is very unique.Therefore,it is the mission of “Hongloumeng studies” to elucidate the unique academic experience of “Hongloumeng studies” with the theory of Sinicization,so as to highlight the particularity of “Hongloumeng studies” that is different from other novels and even from other disciplines.The first part of this dissertation selects Wang Mengruan and Shen Pingan,Cai Yuanpei,Du Shijie as representatives,extracts discourses such as “Innuendo”,“Drama liked Method”,“The Three methods",“Triple organization theory”,“true and false,Yin and Yang”,explains the origin of Soyin’s social and historical background and academic methods.And it also analyzes the reasons why Soyin has sustained vitality in the“Hongloumeng studies”.The second part takes Wang Guowei as an example,with words such as “The Great Works Of The Universe” and “The Complete Tragedy”,and expounds Wang’s method: assisting China with the west.This part connects his point of view with the early “Hongloumeng studies” criticism school and the later scholars such as Li Chendong,Wu Mi and others,to illustrate the academic value of Wang’s literary criticism as the target of “Hongloumeng studies”.The third part focuses on the representatives of the “Neo-Redology”.“Neo-Redology” was based on the research objects of the“Author”and “Version”.And its research methods of “textual research”.The “naturalism”and “autobiographical legend” were its conclusions.This part also analyzes the generation of above-mentioned discourse and the subsequent views of scholars in the later period,such as the “Version”,“Cao Xueqin study” and “the last 40 chapters” and so on.Meanwhile,this part aim to describe the special contribution of the "textual research"method in the field of “Hongloumeng studies” and its special impact on the generation of academic discourse of “Hongloumeng studies”.The fourth chapter discusses the process of the academic discourse of “Hongloumeng studies” from mechanical to autonomous,since Marxism became the mainstream ideology in China.With Li Xifan,Lan Ling,and He Qifang as their main representatives,this part demonstrates the creation of independent academic consciousness and unique academic discourse within “Hongloumeng studies”after taking literature as the research position.Houloumeng is rooted in China’s unique social,cultural and historical longitude and latitude patterns.The academic nature and particularity of “Hongloumeng studies” are often accompanied by each other.Deeply understanding and accurately interpreting this unique artistic experience and research purport is exactly the goal of the construction and improvement of “Hongloumeng studies” discipline.The article clarifies the characteristics of research methods,objects and categories in the development of “Hongloumeng studies”by combing the unique academic discourse focusing on “Hongloumeng studies”,and summarizes the rationality and necessity of why “Hongloumeng studies” is a kind of“study”.At the same time,this dissertation also reviews the process of important and special academic discourse since the emergence of “Hongloumeng studies”,and summarizes its advantages and disadvantages,focusing on distinguishing the connotation and interrelationship of different academic discourse in the evolution.Combining the“Hongloumeng studies” with the discourse theory of “The Three Systems”,will give prominence to the features in its unique objects,academic methods,and research scope which are differ from general novel research,to highlight the special academic significance of “Hongloumeng studies”.
