This paper takes "Chinese Yiyun" musical works of western composers in the 21 st century as the research topic.Five composers and their works are selected as the research subjects from nearly 120 works of more than 80 composers from 11 countries sorted by the author.The paper consists of an introduction,four chapters and a conclusion.The introduction summarizes the topic,the present research,the research methods,and so on.Focusing on “Yiyun” which is an aesthetic category with broad coverage and universality,from the perspective of compositional techniques,the author analyzes,sorts out,sums up and summarizes the formal factors of the musical works,such as melody,rhythm,harmony and structure;as well as the physical factors,such as the instrument timbre,tone and the playing methods.Through the comparative study of the thinking,structures,performance forms and so on between Chinese and western traditional music,the author pays attention to the new dimension of aesthetic interpretation of music by western contemporary composers with culture.This paper explores how the western contemporary composers combine their own unique creative personality with the Chinese traditional cultural elements in the poetic ways in order to reveal the unique beauty of Chinese music and activate the inherent vitality and charm of Chinese culture in their own cultural context。The first chapter,based on the analysis of the concept and technology of the mixed use of the traditional Chinese and western pitch organizations as raw materials,studies how the composers enhance the vitality of the original pitch materials and contribute to the pitch reconstruction concept of "Chinese Yiyun ",which is a unique contemporary expression.The second chapter focuses on the structural and organizational characteristics of timbre and sound.Centering on the sound connotation and aesthetic meaning with great cultural charm,it studies the shaping concept of timbre and sound,and the relationship between timbre and the specific spiritual and cultural atmosphere from the aspects of musical instruments combinations,the timbre application technology and the sound space configuration.The third chapter discusses the cross-cultural organization strategy of materials and its dialectical development.It explores the development process of the materials’ "dynamic","active","flowing" and "common" growth by taking the following aspects as the clue: the cross-cultural organization concept of the materials,the diversified design strategy of the works and many dialectical and organic development of the materials.The fourth chapter focuses on the characteristics of the works’ structures.It analyzes the diversified characteristics of the structures from the specific structures and constructive thinking of the works,and explores the "natural way" of structures around the conflict,logic,coordination,nature,evolution,uncertainty,reverse reproduction,non-reproduction,sound rise and fall,sound characteristics and so on.In the conclusion part,the author summarizes the expressing ways of "Chinese Yiyun " in the research objects,refines the value of the research objects,summarizes the significance of analyzing the research objects and also condenses some of the author’s thinking.
