Private economy is an important part of China’s economy and an important force to promote China’s economic and social development.Culture is an important factor affecting the development of private economy.Traditional folk culture originated from historical tradition,has common values related to the basic problems of workers at the bottom of society,and is particularly closely related to the development of private enterprises and private economy.Among many types of traditional folk cultures,Guan Gong culture is one of the most widely distributed and far-reaching traditional folk cultures,which has a certain impact on the development of private economy in China’s traditional society;In the contemporary socialist market environment,Guan Gong culture is still related to the development of private economy: most private enterprises worship Guan Gong as the God of wealth;Guan Gong’s cultural values are highly recognized among private enterprises.Exploring the impact and influence mechanism of traditional folk culture on private economy is not only an important research topic in the field of cultural economics,but also an important link to explore the impact of Chinese traditional culture on economic development.At present,when exploring the impact of Chinese traditional culture on the economy of private enterprises,scholars focus on Confucian culture and clan culture.This can make the research more focused.However,we should be aware that Confucian culture and clan culture,as cultural tools for the state to manage society,were promoted by the ancient Chinese official government.Their main role is to maintain social stability,which is not fully in line with the development demands of private economy.Limiting traditional culture to Confucian culture and clan culture may not fully reflect the impact of Chinese traditional culture on private economy.The traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong culture,which originated from the people and meets the demands of the development of private economy,has not entered the scope of academic research.At present,there is little literature in academic circles to explore the impact of traditional folk culture such as Guan Gong Culture on private economy from the perspective of economics.In addition,the analysis of the impact mechanism of traditional culture on private economy is relatively scattered and has not formed a system.Based on the existing research results and research deficiencies,this paper selects the traditional folk culture represented by Guangong culture as the research perspective.Firstly,it puts forward the possible impact and influence path of the traditional folk culture represented by Guangong culture on the private economy from the theoretical level.Secondly,this paper uses the methods of correlation analysis and case analysis to analyze the impact and path of the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong Culture on the private economy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Thirdly,this paper uses the empirical analysis method to analyze the impact and influence path of the traditional folk culture represented by the contemporary Guan Gong Culture on the private economy.Finally,by synthesizing the influence and influence mechanism of traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong Culture on private economy in different periods,this paper summarizes the influence of traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong Culture on private economy and the commonness and law of influence mechanism.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.At the macro level,the impact of traditional folk culture represented by Guangong culture on private economy is mainly reflected in two aspects: first,Guangong cultural values make private enterprises have the entrepreneurial spirit of fearing difficulties and dangers and forging ahead,so they prefer to engage in long-distance freight trade,border trade and export trade in commercial activities,and finally expand the commercial sphere of private economy.Secondly,when the formal system construction is relatively backward and does not match the needs of economic development,Guan Gong’s cultural values can guide private enterprises to operate in good faith.The general integrity management behavior of regional private enterprises can effectively improve the regional trust level,and then improve the regional business environment,which is conducive to the development of regional private economy.2.At the micro level,the impact of traditional folk culture represented by Guangong culture on private economy is mainly reflected in four aspects: first,the traditional folk culture represented by Guangong culture can improve the economic performance of private enterprises;Second,the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong culture can promote the innovation of private enterprises.The innovation of private enterprises in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is mainly institutional innovation,and the innovation of contemporary private enterprises is mainly technological innovation;Third,the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong culture can reduce the financing constraints of private enterprises;Fourth,the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong culture can reduce the agency cost of private enterprises.3.In terms of path mechanism,the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong culture mainly affects the private economy by affecting the cultural capital and social capital of private entrepreneurs,and playing the role of informal system when the formal system is not perfect.Specifically:(1)In terms of cultural capital and related paths,Guan Gong culture can improve the moral cultivation and other cultural capital of private entrepreneurs.With the help of low-cost and high-efficiency folk literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Guan Gong’s culture can be spread in a wide range.In the process of accepting folk literature and art,audiences or readers acquire Guan Gong’s cultural values and become their own cultural capital.The specific path of Guangong culture affecting cultural capital in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is to influence the entrepreneurship of private enterprises through the pioneering and enterprising values of Guangong culture,so that they prefer to engage in long-distance freight transportation and border trade,thus expanding the sphere of influence of private economy.The contemporary cultural monopoly is constantly broken,and the knowledge of business and economy is gradually popularized.Folklore is no longer the main way for private entrepreneurs to obtain cultural capital.The way of cultural capital of contemporary Guangong culture affecting private economy is mainly the equity incentive path within private enterprises: private entrepreneurs affected by Guangong cultural values prefer to believe in people with common cultural beliefs,so they prefer long-term incentive means,bind employees with enterprise interests,so as to reduce agency costs,and finally indirectly affect the economic performance of private enterprises.(2)In terms of social capital and related paths,Guan Gong culture finally realizes the rise of economic performance and the transformation of social capital and economic capital by improving the trust radius and trust level of private entrepreneurs.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Guan Gong culture,on the one hand,the expansion of the trust radius of private entrepreneurs made private entrepreneurs adopt the buddy system and stock salary system in business,so as to reduce the agency cost of enterprises,reduce the financing constraints of enterprises,and finally improve the economic performance.On the other hand,Guangong culture expands the customer network by guiding civil entrepreneurs to operate in good faith,and then improves the social network and social capital of private entrepreneurs,and finally promotes economic performance.At present,Guan Gong culture improves the internal and external trust of private enterprises,and directly improves the economic performance of private enterprises.Guan Gong culture also expands social capital by improving communication level,and finally realizes the growth of economic performance.(3)In terms of the role of informal system and related paths,when the formal system construction is imperfect and can not meet the needs of economic development,Guan Gong culture can replace the formal system to a certain extent,affect business behavior,harmonious business environment,and ultimately affect the economic performance of private enterprises.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the informal institutional approach of Guan Gong culture had two specific influence paths: first,at the macro level,Guan Gong cultural values improved the regional trust level by affecting the honest management of local private enterprises,thus improving the business environment and promoting the development of private economy;Second,at the micro level,Guan Gong’s cultural values make private enterprises relatively tolerant of those who do not violate the number rules,which can create a more harmonious internal environment of the firm(traditional private enterprises)and ultimately affect the economic performance of the firm.At present,Guangong culture mainly plays an informal institutional role in private enterprises.The specific path is:entrepreneurs and employees who prefer Guangong culture have higher mutual trust,so as to harmonize the internal environment of enterprises and ultimately affect economic performance.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:1.This paper provides a new research perspective.Taking Guan Gong culture as the starting point,this paper analyzes the impact and influence path of traditional folk culture on private economy.This research perspective is novel.At present,scholars often use Confucian culture and clan culture as the perspective to analyze the impact of traditional culture on private economy,while few documents analyze the impact of traditional culture on private economy from the perspective of Guan Gong culture.Compared with Confucian culture and other cultural types,Guan Gong culture and other traditional folk cultures originated from the people,have common values related to the basic problems of workers at the bottom of society,reflect the development demands of the people,and are more closely related to the development of private economy.This paper provides a relatively novel perspective of traditional culture selection for the research in the field of cultural economy.2.This paper constructs the Guangong culture database according to the relevant materials.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different external manifestations of Guangong culture,combined with the measurement method of traditional culture in the field of cultural economics,this paper takes the number of regional Guangong temples as the measurement index to measure the intensity of Guangong cultural atmosphere.This paper refers to and arranges the Guanmiao relics items in the list of historical and cultural heritage published by the State Administration of cultural relics and municipal cultural relics bureaus,and obtains the coordinates of Guanmiao relics in various places combined with Baidu map matching,so as to build the Guangong culture database,which provides more detailed data for the Research of this paper and measurement data of different types of culture for relevant research in the field of cultural economy.3.This paper systematically explores the impact and influence path of traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong Culture on private economy,and enriches the relevant research results of cultural and economic issues.Firstly,based on the academic research results and relevant theories,this paper puts forward the possible impact and influence path of the traditional folk culture represented by Guan Gong Culture on the private economy from the theoretical level,and then analyzes the impact and influence path of Guan Gong Culture on the private economy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and contemporary times by using case analysis and empirical analysis.After summarizing the
